Founded in 1940’s as Hastings Glass, the company soon earned the reputation of being a trusted aluminium window and glazing business that provided industry leading window and door products, backed with unmatched customer service. Soon expanding the companies reach to include Taupo and Gisborne, Hastings Glass was becoming a valuable and reliable supplier for local builders and developers in Hawkes Bay and neighbouring cities.

After operating for 30 years the company was sold and one of it’s employees at the time established Hastings Aluminium. In 1999 the family re-established Hastings Glass Company then nearly 20 years later in 2018  Hastings Glass and Hastings Aluminium joined forces again to in the aluminium window and door industry!

To better bring the two brands together we founded the new Venta brand in 2021.  Venta is a word from the North Western Spain area where the Galician Dialect is spoken and translates to English as window! The new simple but bold Venta brand brings clarity and focus to our journey on delivering industry leading quality windows and doors, backed up by unbeatable family friendly service.

In 2024 Venta made the acquisition of Alumax Systems based in Fielding Manawatu. Like Venta, Alumax is a long time supplier of the Omega® Windows and Doors in the lower North Island. The combining of the Alumax team with Venta strengthens the reach of our unmatched customer service and Omega aluminium window & door products from Gisborne down to Napier, Hastings, Taupo, Central Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North, Levin, Manawatu and Wellington regions
